Community Christian School saw its season come to an end in the form of a 4-1 loss to visiting Rock Church in the Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association 2-A quarterfinals Tuesday.

The Cyclones’ lone goal came in the 16th minute when Pierce Stone scored off an assist from Connor Ferguson to put the hosts on top 1-0.

Rock Church then scored four unanswered goals to secure the win, finding the back of the net in the 33rd and 35th minutes to lead 2-1 at halftime.

In the second half, the away side scored with 13 minutes remaining, before closing the scoring with five minutes left in the game.

Carlos Ventura, the only senior on the team, made six saves in his final game with CCS.
