As a student at Community Christian, you will have the opportunity to express and expand your God given talents from the moment you walk through our doors. Your time at CCS will be filled with wonderful memories in a caring, safe, and respectful environment where you can focus on learning. As our name states you will be given the opportunity to experience a Christian environment where we can work to improve yourself and your community. CCS is designed as a place where you will gain the knowledge, leadership, and spiritual strength needed to meet the demands of daily life in our world.
Our daycare is designed to provide a caring place for your "Cyclone" to grow through structured play and prayer in a loving, welcoming environment. We help each of our children, from the age of 6 weeks to 4 years, develop and grow a love of family, self, Christ, and learning in a nurturing and supportive environment. Our staff of fully licensed and trained teachers are here to meet our children's every need.
From Kindergarten to Fifth Grade, our students are a part of a family of learners. All of our classes are designed to give each student the individual educational attention they deserve. Our teaching staff, all certified teachers with years of experience, know how to meet the needs of their students and make them grow. Class sizes are kept small, less than 20 students, so that each cyclone has the chance to master the content they are taught without being lost in the crowd. Students also have daily electives to enhance their learning such as art, music, computer skills, PE, and library. We hold Chapel weekly, in a fun and spiritually safe manner giving our students the chance to also grow closer to God.
As our Cyclones in grades 6-8 begin to mature and take on more ownership in their education, we at CCS also begin to place them on paths that we hope can teach them to learn to be more of who God has created them to become. This is a wonderful age to be a Cyclone, and within these few years our students grow by leaps and bounds not only academically, but personally, and spiritually with added opportunities of participation. Middle school students not only are given the chance to take part in school athletic programs but to also impact our local community through service projects.
As our students continue into their last four years of school, it is our expectation that they are becoming more and more ready for their years beyond these walls. Our high school staff works with our students and parents to craft a customized learning program that is meant to place our students on an individual academic path designed for their success. The high level of academic rigor can place them into any four year degree program they wish and give them the opportunity to succeed in the fields of their choice. Chapel, varsity sports, and wide variety of clubs selections give these students the chance to grow even more into the young adult they are becoming.
