Dual Enrollment

Through Wilson Community College and the NC Career & College Promise plan, Community Christian School offers Dual Enrollment opportunities to high school juniors or seniors. There are NO FEES OR TUITION (students are responsible for paying for textbooks and materials).
 
College Transfer Pathways: Designed to earn guaranteed transferable credit within the NC public college and university system and many private institutions, as long as the student earns a "C" or higher 
  • Associate in Arts (AA)
  • Associated in Fine Arts in Music (AFA)
  • Associate in Science (AS)
Must have a cumulative, unweighted high school GPA of 2.8 or higher OR demonstrate college readiness benchmarks in English, reading, AND math subtests on an approved assessment or placement test; meet all course pre- or co-requisites; and obtain the written approval of the high school principal or designee and the College designee.
 
Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways: Designed to earn credit toward college certificates, diplomas, and two-year Associate of Applied Science degrees. Typically a terminal degree designed for students to go straight to work after completion - not guaranteed to transfer to four-year colleges/universities' degree programs

Must have a cumulative, unweighted high school GPA of 2.8 or higher OR demonstrate college readiness benchmarks in English, reading, AND math subtests on an approved assessment or placement test (if GPA is below 2.8, the high school principal/designee may submit a waiver with rationale for why the GPA was waived; if the CTE pathway contains a UGETC College Transfer course, the GPA requirement cannot be waived); meet all course pre- or co-requisites; obtain written approval of the high school principal/designee and the College designee.
 
Students enrolled in Pathways must continue to make progress toward high school graduation and cannot delay graduation and they must maintain a 2.0 college GPA in WCC coursework after completing two courses.
