The Community Christian School baseball team suffered a 12-1 loss to Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association North Region Foe Faith Christian of Goldsboro on Tuesday. The Cyclones, who fell to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in North Region play, mustered just three hits as the Conquerors (6-1, 3-0) scored six runs in the first inning. 

Jack Beamon, Rylan Gay and Luke Jones mustered CCS’ only hits of the night, with Beamon coming up with a double. 

Ben Reese led the Conquerors at the plate by going 3 for 4 with a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored. 

Chase Moen grabbed the win on the mound for Faith Christian, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out four and walking two in five innings. 

Noah Pierce suffered the defeat for CCS, yielding four earned runs on four hits while striking out one and walking one in one inning. 

The Cyclones will visit Bethel Assembly Christian on Thursday.
