Playing on the court they both call home, the Community Christian varsity boys basketball defeated Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf 79-43 at the Fighting Hornets’ Barney Williamson Gym on Tuesday.

The Cyclones of head coach Derrick Atkinson, now 9-3, got a balanced scoring effort led by 14 points each from Seth Huston and Cameron Harris. Camden Harold scored 12 points and Bryce Pittman added 10 points.

Community Christian, which plays most of its home games at Williamson Gym, will host Gramercy Christian of Newport on Friday. The Hornets, playing for the first time in several years, will welcome North Carolina School for the Deaf in their final home game Jan. 24.
