Senior Landon Beamon has been an offensive force for his Community Christian School eight-player football team all season, making him this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
From his quarterback position, Landon leads the Cyclones with 524 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground while passing for another 632 yards and three TDs. He is averaging more than nine yards per play.
The son of Sarah and Jason Beamon of Saratoga, Landon has a 4.25 GPA at CCS where he takes Honors courses. He also takes online courses through Wilson Community College.
Landon, who also shines in basketball and baseball for the Cyclones, is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and 4-H at CCS.
He is active at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Greene County and has previously helped on mission trips to Georgia and Virginia.
Landon has yet to decide on his college destination but hopes to pursue an engineering degree.
