I'm a former ECU pirate and graduated in 2006 with my BS in Elementary Education. This is my 16th year of teaching. I taught my first five years at a public school in Rocky Mount and I've spent the past ten years here at CCS. I have two beautiful twins that also attend CCS. They will be in the eighth grade this year. My husband works at the local Bridgestone plant in Wilson. We also run a side business called Burnette's Wood Works. We attend Southside Baptist Church in Elm City and we live in Nashville. My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10, it was my journey verse while fighting breast cancer in 2019.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
